I am an assistant professor at Yonsei University (Department of Computer Science and Engineering). I lead the iDea team as a part of the Human-Data Interaction Lab (HDIL). My research interest is in the union of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human-AI Interaction (HAI), and Data Visualization. Before joining Yonsei University, I was a postdoctoral researcher at KAIST, working with Prof. Juho Kim. I completed my PhD in Computer Science at Stanford, with the mentorship of my advisor Prof. Maneesh Agrawala. My PhD work focuses on understanding the interactions between text and visualizations (dissertation). I did my undergrad in Computer Science at California Institute of Technology.
