선천면역 기능조절 연구실

우리 연구실은 염증성 스트레스와 면역노화가 조직 대식세포 기능을 어떻게 변질시키는지, 그리고 후성유전적 정체성의 재편에 따른 선천면역기억 및 식세포 작용 변화의 원인을 규명하고자 합니다. 특히 이 과정에서 발생하는 사이토카인 불균형과 세포사멸체 제거 기능 저하가 만성 염증을 유발하는 메커니즘을 규명합니다. 이를 바탕으로 대식세포의 항상성을 되돌리는 후성유전적 재프로그래밍과 면역세포 엔지니어링 기술을 개발해, 면역노화 및 염증성 질환을 극복하는 정밀 치료 전략을 확립하고자 합니다. Our laboratory aims to elucidate how inflammatory stress and immune aging alter the functions of tissue-resident macrophages, and to identify the causes behind changes in innate immune memory and phagocytic activity driven by the rewiring of epigenetic identity. In particular, we investigate the mechanisms by which cytokine imbalance and impaired efferocytosis during this process induce chronic inflammation. Based on these findings, we seek to develop epigenetic reprogramming and immune cell engineering technologies that restore macrophage homeostasis, ultimately establishing precision therapeutic strategies to overcome immune ageing and inflammatory diseases.
