Korean Genomics Center (KOGIC) aims to provide Korean Genomes and Omes to the world. The activation of genome research contributes to other fields of biotechnology and engineering, enhances health and welfare, and greatly supports the conservation and restoration of living organisms as well as the development of high value-added biological resources. Through the genome industry, KOGIC will improve public health and serve as a growth engine for Ulsan. KOGIC adheres to the constitutional spirit of the Republic of Korea, grounded in the rule of law, and upholds the principle that all members participate in management with integrity, justice, honesty, and accuracy. Philanthronomics: (Hongik Ingan): All members of the Genome Research Institute pursue management in line with Hongik Ingan, the universal value specified in the Constitution. Scientific Principle: All decisions and judgments are based on rational assessments grounded in scientific data and information, not belief-based reasoning. Practical Principle: All members of the Genome Research Institute strive to achieve practical outcomes and implement procedures that enhance industrial competitiveness. Genome lab performs research on genomes using bioinformatics. Genome Lab is a part of KOGIC. KOGIC is focused on the research and development on all kinds of diseases and aging (Geromics). Wet lab experiments and data production accompanied by bioinformatics technologies are also included. Broadly, we perform multi-omics analysis. We build various reference and standard in genomics. Our lab’s final goal is curing aging using omics technologies.
