연구실 소개

이 연구실은 5G·6G 및 차세대 이동통신망에서 RAN과 엣지 컴퓨팅을 연계해 AI 추론의 지연과 성능을 관리하고, LLM·비전 모델의 모바일-클라우드 분산 추론과 학습을 효율화하는 문제를 연구합니다. 또한 다중 연결, 자원 관리, 압축과 오프로딩을 활용해 영상회의·스트리밍·실시간 영상 분석의 지연을 줄이고 QoE를 개선하는 시스템을 다룹니다. 아울러 LLM 가중치 양자화와 엣지 환경에서의 AI 처리 효율화도 연구합니다.

NXC Lab, led by Prof. Kyunghan Lee, envisions and aims at realizing the future of networked computing systems for/with AI through working on broad research topics such as Physical AI, AI-Datacenter (AI Factory), AI-RAN, 6G Cellular Systems with Performance Guarantee, Multi-agent AI, AI-serving Systems (Network-as-a-Computer), Agentic communication language, Mobile/Wearable Computing with Thin Clients, Task-oriented Communications (Semantic Communications), Extended/Augmented Reality (Metaverse), Blockchain/Web3.0, and Internet of Things. Prof. Kyunghan Lee is the PI running the Cloud-Native AI-RAN Center at SNU, which sends our talented graduate students to renowned research groups in top universities in the world for top-notch research collaboration. Graduate students affiliated with our center have visited or are visiting the following universities as researchers since 2024.
