연구실 소개

이 연구실은 분산형 저장장치와 SSD·파일 시스템의 성능 및 장애 대응을 개선하고, 데이터 압축과 계층화를 통해 저장 자원을 효율적으로 활용하는 문제를 연구합니다. 또한 클라우드와 임베디드 환경에서 머신러닝 추론·학습의 지연시간, 자원 사용량, 에너지 소비를 줄이는 시스템을 다룹니다. 이와 함께 차등 프라이버시의 시스템 오버헤드와 블록체인 기반 SBOM·산업용 IoT 관리, 사이버 위협 분석도 연구합니다.

Modern cloud systems often leave substantial resources underutilized. Our research harvests this idle capacity through the co-location of Batch workloads, aiming to maximize the throughput achieved from these reclaimed resources. As AI and data-intensive services continue to scale, the gap between compute and data access widens. Our research focuses on designing systems optimized for CXL-enabled tiered memory and high-performance storage to provide scalable capacity and efficient data access. The Computer Systems Laboratory at Sungkyunkwan University was founded in 2008 by Prof. Joonwon Lee and is currently being led by Prof. Euiseong Seo.
