연구실 소개

이 연구실은 동형암호 환경에서의 효율적인 추론과 부채널 공격 방어, 프라이버시를 보장하는 정보 검색 등 개인정보 보호형 정보 처리 문제를 연구합니다. LDPC·BCH 등 오류정정부호의 설계와 신경망 기반 복호를 다루며, 잡음이 있는 통신 및 저장 채널에서 신뢰성을 높이는 방법을 탐구합니다. 또한 중요도 기반 양자화와 태스크 지향 부호화를 활용한 시맨틱 통신, 분산 추론과 정보이론적 압축 문제를 연구합니다.

Our research focuses on the quantification, processing, and transmission of information and intelligence. We investigate fundamental limits, optimal designs, and principled practical implementations of information systems, leveraging and extending mathematical tools from information theory, coding theory, optimization, and learning theory. Information and Intelligence Laboratory (iil) is a research group in the Department of Electrical Engineering (and affiliated with the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence) at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). Our research focuses on the quantification, processing, and transmission of information and intelligence. We investigate fundamental limits, optimal designs, and principled practical implementations of information systems, leveraging and extending mathematical tools from information theory, coding theory, and optimization.
