Nanoparticle synthesis We design and synthesize functional plasmonic nanostructures from simple nanospheres and nanocubes to multicomponent nanoparticles, nanogap nanoparticles and mechanically interlocked nanostructures. Nanoplasmonics We characterize and utilize plasmonic nanostructures for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), metal-enhanced fluorescence (MEF), photothermal property and other plasmonics-related properties and functions.
