Mutant library of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii was constructed to screen mutants that have high biomass and light conversion efficiency. After obtaining candidates, the responsible gene(s) for the mutation phenotype is (are) characterized by molecular and genetic approach. To further find important and/or regulatory genes in the mutants, omics technology is used. By this way, photoconversion mechanism could be characterized at the molecular and biochemical level. 형질전환 기법을 바탕으로 미세조류의 돌연변이를 유도하고 이들 라이브러리로부터 광전환율 또는 성장율이 높은 후보군을 도출한 후, 다양한 오믹스 기법을 이용한 분자생물학적, 유전학적 연구를 수행하여 돌연변이의 생리화학적 특성을 이해하고, 미세조류의 광합성 및 생장 메커니즘을 밝히고자 노력하고 있다.
